The Sound of CRY was accepted at the following film festivals:

• You can now VOTE for The Sound of CRY on the INSIDE FILM web site - for an Inside Film Award. Click HERE

• Queensland Short Film Competition - held in conjunction with the St. George Bank Brisbane International Film Festival - to be screened before one feature film during the BIFF as well as during its special screening session of the Top-10 QSFC Films, on Saturday 9th August, 2008 at Regent Cinema 1 (Queen St. Mall) at 2:00pm. An award ceremony to announce the winner of the Critics Choice Award and the Audience Favorite Award will be held on on Sunday 10th of August.

(The Sound of CRY has also made an official selection as part of Brisbane International Film Festival [without the QSFC strand] but we had to turn the screening of it as such down, for only one or the other were allowed... we hope that choosing QSFC [which is part of BIFF] over the official selection in BIFF is better, as it allows the film to be nominated for an award and it gives it TWO [instead of just ONE] screenings during the festival.)

• Dendy Awards - as part of Sydney Film Festival - to be screened on June 13th, 2008 (FRIDAY) 1:45pm

• The Sound of CRY is nominated for a Dendy Award in the Fiction Category.                             

• St Kilda Film Festival - screening date 8th of May, 2008 (Thursday) Session 2 6:00pm - 7:30pm

• Byron Bay International Film Festival - screened on closing night, 8th of March 2008. Nominated for Best Short Film, Best Film and Young Australian Filmmaker (Lav Bodnaruk - producer). 

Congratulations to Lav Bodnaruk for winning 2008 Best Young Australian Filmmaker Award at Byron Bay International Film Festival.

Congratulations to our cinematographer Aron Leong for winning silver at the Australian Cinematography Society (ACS) State awards ceremony, held in Brisbane on November 3rd 2007.
